  18.           SHARP is a set of spreadsheets and documentation for Lotus 123 
  19.    Release 2 or later, or Borland Quattro Pro.  SHARP helps you manage your 
  20.    personal finances by breaking your checking account into several separate 
  21.    categories, such as Food, Mortgage, Utilities, etc., however you wish, and 
  22.    maintaining separate balances for each.  SHARP will automatically 
  23.    partition paychecks or other deposits into your multiple categories in 
  24.    whatever proportions you decide.  Needless to say, SHARP also handles all 
  25.    the arithmetic for tracking account balances and reconciling your 
  26.    checkbook with your bank statement.

  28.           SHARP is simple to use even for people completely unfamiliar with 
  29.    spreadsheets.  Some basic spreadsheet commands are necessary only when 
  30.    customizing SHARP, but after that all operations are performed by single-
  31.    key macro commands.

  33.           With your checkbook split into functional categories and money being 
  34.    deposited into the categories at the rate they require, YOU will be making 
  35.    the decisions, rather than the money "spending itself"!  You will be fully 
  36.    aware of where your money goes, and how much.  You will be able to save for 
  37.    retirement accounts, holiday gifts, children's college, and special 
  38.    purchases, because the money for these items is kept separate, almost like 
  39.    having several actual bank accounts (only much more convenient).

  41.           Install SHARP on your computer and try it.  Feel free to share it 
  42.    with friends.  It should give you more control over your money than ever

  46.    TO PRINT THE SHARP DOCUMENTATION
  47.           Enter the following command at the DOS prompt:

  50.    TO GET STARTED 
  51.           You need to have 123 or Quattro Pro on your computer, and know the 
  52.    directories where your spreadsheet lives and where it stores its 
  53.    worksheets.  Use the /Worksheet Global Default Directory command in 123 
  54.    (or /Options Startup Directory in Quattro Pro) to determine your worksheet 
  55.    directory.  SHARP must be installed on your computer before you can use 
  56.    it.  Enter the following command at the DOS prompt:

  59.    and follow the directions.  Now you can experiment a little with SHARP, but 
  60.    you will need to customize it before you can really take advantage of it.
